I have an exciting season of taking family portraits coming up and I have enjoyed watching the calendar fill up. Thanks guys!
Generally after a photo shoot I post a sneak peek with my favorite pics as well as my thoughts of the time I have just shared with the person or family. That part is so much fun, but SO time consuming because the writing part of my brain is sloooooow and it takes a lot of time to get it "just" right. In order to speed up the process, I will be ditching the narration and just put up the pics which are really the coolest part of the whole thing any way.
I am guessing for most viewers, they see "blah, blah, blah ... Oh wow, cool picture. . .blah, blah, blah. . .Oh wow, cool picture." So, I will save you all the blah, blah, blah and get right to the serious stuff. Pictures.
And, in the end, it should mean you get your pictures a little faster.
PS I am trying to plan a VERY cool photo experience that involves pictures with Santa. Watch for the announcement because it will be limited time slots. Ho, ho, ho.
See December dates for specifics on the few dates available.
Remaining available dates:
Friday the 13th 4:30 just canceled and now open just for you. Or you? Or you. Yes you!
Friday the 2oth 4:30 booked
Saturday the 28th 4:15 booked
I am considering opening some TUESDAYS if anyone wants to convince me that I should. One good thing about Tuesday is that Location H becomes a strong possibility. It really is a fun spot.
Also, if there is a date you really like but it is booked, I will put you on a wait list in case of a cancellation.
What to wear? What ever is comfortable. Most likely you will have a few shots sitting down, so find something that is comfortable and can be dusted off. Changes of outfits is fine. You can be matchy matchy. Or not. You can wear something that compliments your summer tan. Or not. Hats and sweaters are fun. Or not. Be formal. Or not. Just be you. And be prepared, I just might make you take your shoes off.
What not to wear? Crusty nail polish. Polish remover is cheaper than editing.
What not to chew? Gum.
Any questions?
Email me at www.headfirstphotobyshauna@gmail.com with your desired date. We can hammer out the location later, unless you already have something in mind.

Oh boy did I have fun with these boys!
I think Dad had a little fun too!
Mommy is a little outnumbered but doesn't seem to mind a bit.
Bonus for the family pics--the Grandparents. We just couldn't have done the Grandma Grandpa Sandwich without them. I love Grandparents almost as much as fun little boys!
And then, to top off all the fun, we were gifted the most amazing sunset that helped us capture these stunners.
The above picture is my favorite.
NO, I think it was this one.
Aw, this is so sweet. It really has to be this one.
UPDATE: Click on this link for details on December dates and prices.
Don't you just hate it when Halloween candy makes its appearance on the store shelves before September is done or when the stores start putting up Christmas stuff before Thanksgiving has been enjoyed?
Well, sorry but you are going to hate me too. I held off until October 1st, but it is time. Time to announce CHRISTMAS CARD family portrait dates.
So, here are the dates. {Pay special attention to the times. Because I use the beautiful natural light that shines down on us each day, I have to pay special attention to it. It is my boss. Typically I need a good solid hour of sunlight and a bit of that amazing twilight time to capture lots of great pictures of you and your family.}

This is a test.
Do you think this boy is as cute as I do?
Yes?
Okay, you passed the test now let's see if my new template did.
Update: The test did NOT work and I think I will be crazy.
Updates update: IT WORKS!!!!!!!! It must have been the cuteness factor!
This beautiful family may be leaving this state, but they are NOT leaving our hearts!
These handsome boys may be off to new adventures, but their happy laughter will tickle our memories for many years.
This amazing couple may never completely understand or reap the blessings of planted seeds left behind, but new friends will enjoy a bountiful friendship that will leave them forever changed.
And, maybe this family will quietly stroll into their new life.....
BUT
I
DOUBT
IT!!!!!
We are crazy gonna miss you guys.
And now a sappy ending---
when life seems like a cactus patch,
remember there is always a blue sky way up high
and if you are patient,
a beautiful sunset to share with the one you want to grow old with.
PS Maybe you are not crazy about being my new editing guinea pigs, and that won't hurt my feelings even a little, but never fear, you will also get the originals.
