Downloading from Google drive

I am excited to try a new way to get you your high resolution images!  Because your beautiful files are so large, it makes emailing a bit cumbersome for orders larger than 3 or 4 images and not much fun for you to have to open several emails to get your images.  Google Drive will work great for small to medium digital image orders.  If I am sending you this link, you fit in that category!

For you it means you don’t have to open several emails and individually save your images.

For you it also means no waiting for a disc in the mail.

You can download immediately!

For you it also means that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you back the file up on an external hard drive, flash drive or disc or all three!

Your file will remain active in Google Drive for 7 days for you to download.

You will need a Google Account. If you have Gmail, you already have it, you just need to remember your password.  If you don’t have an account, it is free to create one.

Here are step by step instructions.

You will get an email that looks like this.

To download individual images, click on an image and it will take you to it in Google Drive.

You do not have to have Google Drive for this to work (but it may make the process a bit more smooth—and hey, it is free.)

Only my email address and your email address can access this album unless you share it with someone else.

Then, click on the down arrow as shown by the red X, to download individual images.

You will then be prompted at the bottom of the screen to Open or Save.

You will need to save it to your computer.

Repeat for each file.

OR

If you consider yourself “Tech Savvy,” (you will need to know how to unzip files) and you want to download the whole file of images at the same time, you will need to install Google Drive.

You will then click on File—> Open—> Shared with me

Click on “Select'” as shown by the red X to highlight all images in the folder.

Now you are ready to download. Do you feel ready?!

You will see in this example that all of the images are checked.

I love it when I can batch click a whole file!!!

Arrow down on “More” as shown by the red X and check Download.

It may take a minute or two per image depending on the speed of your computer.

And there you go.

From me to you.

Technology is amazing!

Pinky promise you will develop these.

Soon!

PS If this all looks a bit confusing, you can just ask me to email the digital files to you.  No prob!

Your file will remain in Google Drive for 7 days for you to download.

Two angels Attended

Family photo shoots are fun and stressful and exciting and crazy.

And sometimes they are very sacred.

This family has experienced the loss of two sons, Steven and Jordan.

I felt them there.

A family of six that is now represented on earth by only four, continue on with grace, courage and love.

It was a joy and honor to capture the special bond of these loving parents for two adorable boys who are full of life and smiles and also reminisce about their two angels.

Thank you for a wonderful, special evening.

Mom and Dad brought these very special mementos for each of the angel boys.

A New Home For Rosie the English Bulldog{Arizona Pet Photographer}

Rosie has a new home.

What does her new family have to look forward to?

Well, isn’t it obvious?

The distinct under bite.

The impressive wrinkles.

A muscular frame.

The snozzle snorting.

The hanging jowls.

For just a moment I thought I was describing myself.

Anyway, let’s carry on.

I know she will be very happy where she is with her new human and canine family.

Rock on Rosie!

OH YES WE DID!  I couldn’t resist.

Merry Christmas from Rosie.

Bug. {Arizona Portrait Photographer}

Often times the word bug has a negative connotation.

“You’re bugging me.”

“Look at that gross bug.”

“Bed bugs.”

“That really bugs me.”

But sometimes, “Bug” is a term of endearment.

Like this sweet little girl who looks nothing like a gross bug.

And she doesn’t bug me.

And there are no bed bugs involved.

Her parents have it as her pet name and is said with all the love in the world.

And it runs in the family because they are called Daddy Bug and Mommy Bug.

No matter how you spell it or how you say it---

Bug

buG

BUG!!!!!

I love this little bug!

It takes a village {Arizona Family Photographer}

There is a saying that “It takes a village to raise a child.”

The addendum on the saying goes something like this: “It may also take a village to get a certain un-named two year old child to smile for family pictures. If the battle seems uncertain, secret weapons may be enlisted.”

Well. . . . . .

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Thank you village (mom, dad, bro, assistants, squeaky toys etc.)  Thank you secret weapon!

Now I can’t stop smiling.  Love this adorable family!

5 Years and Counting. . .{Mesa, Gilbert, Higley, Chandler, Arizona Family Photographer}

5 Christmas Card seasons ago, this family accepted the invitation to be my guinea pigs in front of a new camera I didn’t know how to use.

Due to tremendous luck, I accidentally captured some amazing shots and they decided to stick with me thru lots of learning, a camera upgrade, a few new lenses and a whole bunch of luck.

This year they talked me into a new location which I am apparently the last to know about as it was very busy with several other photographers and sweet little families praying the rain would stay far away so their precious moments could be captured.

I got a few precious moments myself!

I am thankful for their friendship and their trust.

Can’t wait for year 6.

Boy Joy. {Arizona Family Photographer}

Exact words from his Mama:  “Paid 17 years of waiting for 2+ eternity of pure joy.”

I couldn’t say it better if I tried a thousand times.

Happy 2nd birthday to the smartest two year old I know!
