I have known these beautiful brown eyes since the day they were born to very dear friends nearly 18 years ago.
I have known that smile as it rested on her face as a child.
I have known that sometimes those beautiful brown eyes have been full of tears and the smile tempered by sadness.
I have known that there are many who have loved and comforted and nurtured and given her wings.
I have known that she would grow up to be a wonderful young woman but I wasn’t ready for her actually do that.
Grow up.
And how!
She is resilient and brilliant and a beautiful Child of God.
Your future is as bright as your smile.
